Tucked away in the pretty village of Rosthwaite, this Lakeland cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. It enjoys peaceful surroundings with fabulous walks from your door. The Seatoller bus runs all year round and, between April and October, the Honister Rambler offers a circular service that takes in Portinscale, Catbells, Grange, Rosthwaite, Seatoller, Honister Slate Mine, Buttermere, Lorton and Whinlatter Forest. Derwentwater is less than 4 miles north of the village; there are eight jetties where you can hop on and off the boat to explore. Visit Theatre by the Lake to take in a show and, from Crow Park opposite, you can get 360 panoramic views of the mountains along with stunning views down the lake towards the exceptionally beautiful Borrowdale Valley. As you enter the property, you will find yourself in a small hall which has storage for coats and muddy boots. It opens into the bright, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a beamed ceiling and views across the fields. The cosy lounge/diner has a wood burner effect electric fire, comfy sofas, a Smart TV, and a dining area at the window to take in the views over breakfast. The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. Leaving the lounge, go down a step into the hallway and you will find the king size bedroom with the shower room across the hall, with a shower and WC. Outside, there is a shared garden which you can relax in and the village pub, which is 200 metres away, has outdoor seating. There is private parking for one car and additional parking at the village car park which is approximately 200 metres away. The village pub and farm café/shop (seasonal opening) are within walking distance.
