Stunning sea views, idyllic characterful farmhouse with log burner and jacuzzi, St Davids, Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire Coast. Sleeps up to 8

This immaculately furnished farmhouse nestles at the foothills of Carn Llidi Mountain and faces one of the most perfect views in Wales of Whitesands Bay and beyond. When the light is right both views can take your breath away.

In this detached farmhouse there is a spacious larger sitting room with a vaulted ceiling & slate floor. The walls are dressed with local art and comfortable seating. The focal point is a wood burning stove, a reminder of the age of the farmhouse. Patio doors adorn the adjacent wall with a coastal view to die for. Next door is the spacious family dining room with sturdy custom made Oak farmhouse table and chairs that sit 10 guests. At the end of the dining room is a further sitting room and bathroom which is very relaxing and handy to have 'space' when in a group or for the kids to watch tv or play in their own space. The fully equipped kitchen with all its modern appliances includes a double oven and large hob, a coffee maker and a large American style fridge/freezer which includes an ice maker.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with king size beds with stunning views of the coastline and the surrounding hills. There is also a twin bedroom with washing facilities, that comfortably allows privacy for two people sharing and another room with bunk beds and equally great views of the front of the property. There is a sofa bed in the downstairs study should there be a need for visiting guests or to increase the booking to 10 people - by prior arrangement only (for bed sheets etc!).

There is nothing better after an interesting day exploring, than coming back to Upper Porthmawr and spend an evening relaxing over dinner around the large oak table with candles or barbecue on the flagged terrace and gaze out to sea against the backdrop of the sun slowly setting over the bay.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is virtually on your doorstep and can be joined by walking the path leading up to the glorious Carn Llidi with 360 degree views on a clear day of the whole of Pemrokeshire. Seeing is believing. The historic City of St David's (the smallest city in the UK!) is only a 5 minute drive away and is a hub of history, art galleries, great Cafe's and choice restaurants.

Alternatively, spend your days on Whitesands Beach, renowned as one of the top beaches in the country, popular with families and a hotspot for keen surfers and beginners alike with its seasonal water sports hire shop and cafe all in short & easy walking distance. Walkers, surfers and dog owners are well provided for and several beaches have stretches that allow dogs on all year round which are wonderful for families and their pets.

In close proximity is Tan Y Garn, ideal for larger groups that would like to rent both properties together.Upper Porthmawr is a traditional Pembrokeshire stone farmhouse with panoramic views over Whitesands bay. The farmhouse has been tastefully renovated to preserve its original charm. It is set in 11 acres of farmland and has its own half mile private drive and is sited next to the large rugged outcrop, known as Carn Llidi, which rises behind the property.

Located in Haverfordwest, this farm stay is in the mountains and near the beach. Ramsey Island and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Hilton Court Gardens and Melin Tregwynt Woolen Mill. Discover the area's water adventures with jet skiing and scuba diving nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with mountain climbing and cycling.
