Little Gem is an attractive ground floor apartment situated on a quiet, very small, residential estate, beside Ravenscraig Castle and Park in the coastal town of Kirkcaldy. The apartment benefits from stunning views of the ancient castle and across the Firth of Forth. You can hear the waves lapping on the beach when the windows are open. An ideal location for a couple or small family at any time of the year the apartment is comfortable and well appointed. There is a king sized bed with a built-in TV in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The coffee table in the living room easily converts to a dining room table and the kitchen is well-equipped for preparing a meal. It is a joy to look out of either the living-room or kitchen window and see the views. There are also grass areas and shrubbery around this small estate. A welcome pack of breakfast food is provided on your arrival so that you don’t have to shop until after breakfast.
A short stroll from the apartment takes you into Ravenscraig Park, which has beautiful coastal walks and plenty of facilities for children. You can follow the Fife Coastal Route in either direction, Dysart Harbour which featured on the TV series Outlander is only a 20-minute walk along the shore and the opposite direction to the attractive seaside towns of Burntisland and Aberdour, white sandy beaches and walks along the cliffs. Kirkcaldy has lots of place to eat and places to shop and a walk or jog along the esplanade is highly recommended. In April the town hosts Europe’s longest street fair, The Adam Smith Theatre offers a regular programme all year and Kirkcaldy Galleries is well worth a visit with national collections of work to view including local artist Jack Vettriano. A day out in Edinburgh is only 25 minutes away by train from the local station over the majestic Forth Rail Bridge into the city centre, ideal if you or attending one of the many shows, events and festivals throughout the year.
