You can visit the magnificent Cragside House and Gardens (1.5 miles) for a lovely day out and see amazing views of the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland coastline from the top of the Simonside Hills (6 miles). Drive to nearby Alnwick (12 miles) for market day, shops and restaurants, the fantastic Castle and famous Alnwick Gardens, and the sandy beach at Alnmouth (17 miles) is perfect for a barefoot walk and paddle.
