Ease yourself in with trails at Whinlatter Forest, before upgrading to Grisedale Pike (5.5 miles) then challenging yourself to a hike up Blencathra (6.5 miles). Take more leisurely walks around Derwentwater (2.5 miles), or visit peaceful attractions like Castlerigg Stone Circle (1.5 miles) and Mirehouse and Gardens (4.5 miles). Further afield, Aira Force (13 miles) is possibly the most famous of the Lake District waterfalls, and nothing can beat a trip on the Ullswater Steamers (16.5 miles). The single storey property is set out in a functional open plan style. With apex ceilings and large windows letting in lots of light, it s a peaceful and welcoming space. The kitchen area has a contemporary style with a double oven, halogen hob and microwave, and a stylish breakfast bar to enjoy meals at. Curl up on the sofa among neutral decor with pops of colour and chat about tomorrow s plans or watch TV. Head to bed in the sleeping area, where you ll find storage under the double bed as well as hanging space and a chest of drawers. Outside, sizzle up a BBQ on the patio and dine alfresco in the seating area. The nearest unrestricted parking is available half a mile away, but unrestricted roadside parking is available overnight.
