Just moments away the harbourside village of Mevagissey and the dramatic Cornish coast, this single-storey cottage is idyllic for a family of three and their canine companion. Be greeted by ample off-road parking before stepping inside to discover the bright and airy open-plan layout. Conjure up mouth-watering dishes in the kitchen area with an electric oven and hob to assist you and when meals are piping hot, settle down at the dining table and make a toast to a wonderful getaway. Unwind on the sofa to the make most of the Smart TV or curl up with good book in hand to relish the rural location. On sunny days, venture out into the spacious garden, where you can savour the last of the days sunshine with your favourite tipple; afterwards retreat into the warmth for a soak in the family bathroom. When eyes grow heavy, choose between two adorned bedrooms, with a double and a single bedroom to rest your head. If you can tear yourself away from this charming oasis, meander through the village to find the renowned 16th-century village pub, which serves food with a local seasonal influence or you could venture further afield to the village of Mevagissey, where you will find plenty of places to eat and drink, including pubs for a Sunday roast or restaurants to sample that classic British seaside staple. Be sure to meander the village to soak up its quintessential ambiance, before visiting the seafront aquarium with its small collection of marine life, brushing up on the local history with a visit to Mevagissey Museum and make your way up to the Mevagissey World of Model Railways. Also nearby is the enchanting Lost Gardens of Heligan, which the cottage was named after, boasting over 200 acres of garden history, mystery and romance to uncover. Beachcombers can look forward to soaking up the sunshine from the sandy bays of St Austell, Whitsand and Gerrans, whilst the quaint unspoilt fishing villages and harbours of Gorran Haven, Polperro and Looe all hold their own unique charm and promise to be wonderful afternoons out. Travel further afield to find the bustling resort of Newquay, where you will find even more family-friendly attractions, as well as an endless supply of rolling surf or you could simply watch the boats at anchor in the waterfront communities of Falmouth and Fowey.
