Kernyk, Perranuthnoe Near Rosudgeon

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 3

Marazion 1.6 miles. Resting between the bustling town of Penzance and the picturesque village of Praa Sands is Kernyk, an idyllic terrace cottage set amidst the delights of Perranuthnoe. With the iconic South West Coastal Path resting just moments away, this self-catering accommodation is a rare find for romantics, beachcombers, avid ramblers, small families and those alike, seeking a temporary base to call home as they explore this part of Cornwall and beyond. Step through the front garden before pushing open the stable door to reveal the elegantly decorated sitting room, where you can choose to perch on the window seat to watch the world go by or get cosy in front of the TV, whilst sat on the sofa or armchair. From here, you will find the kitchen with its tri-folding door; a striking element to this light-filled room. Another being the superb range of quality appliances arranged in a contemporary assortment, perfect for catering for yourselves. Accompanying the kitchen area is the dining table, where you can relish in the company of your loved ones or during the summer months, take meals and drinks out into a sheltered sun trap, where table and chairs offer an alternative spot for dining and socialising. Sleep is sure to come easy in the master suite, where quality white linens drape across the sumptuous double bed. The single bedroom offers a space for an additional guest to catch their rest. If you can tear yourself away from this cosy cottage, meander around the village before visiting the unspoilt beauty of the rugged Cornish coast, as the village’s secluded beach, which is popular for surfers and the clean water makes it safe for swimming. After a wonderful day at the beach, refuel with a bite to eat at the Cabin Beach Café, where you can also pick up children’s buckets, spades and fishing nets, or linger over a pint at The Victoria Inn, reputedly one of the oldest recorded inns in Cornwall. A short distance away is the village of Rosudgeon, where you will find further amenities, including a shop for picking up any last-minute essentials. Continue along the coastal path, a true walker’s haven before stopping off at the town of Marazion, with its many art galleries to peruse. You can enjoy Marazion’s long sandy beach, which links to St Michael’s Mount at low tide, a great opportunity to explore the tiny island and visit the castle. Slightly further afield is Penzance, where you will find more places to eat and drink, as well as great shopping opportunities, and museums and galleries to marvel at. From the town, you can then look forward to exploring all that West Cornwall has to offer, including St Ives, the famous Minack Theatre and the ruggedly beautiful landscapes of Land's End. At the end of each day, look forward to returning to the warmth of Kernyk
