An easy stroll from your apartment will take you to all the local pubs and shops, as well as access to a selection charming cafés, independent shops, and restaurants. To the front of this Alnmouth apartment is the famous estuary with St Cuthbert’s Cross across the water, a lovely place to take a blanket and a picnic to sit and relax whilst watching the world go by. Nearby is the market town of Alnwick, where you can explore its medieval castle and gardens or a little further afield are the delights of Bamburgh, Amble and Holy Island. Keen walkers will relish in an action-packed adventure exploring Northumberland National Park with landmarks such as Chew Green, The Dark Stone and Bremenium Roman Fort. There is also plenty of fun to be had down by the sea with the 14th century remains of Dunstanburgh Castle, now owned by the national trust, and Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum lining the breath-taking Northumberland Coast. Bask in the sunshine on Bamburgh Beach with a tasty portion of fish and chips, before heading out to sea to tour Farne Islands National Nature Reserve, and see the picturesque Longstone Lighthouse. A Stone’s throw is the perfect place for a coastal, Northumbrian break.
