This beautiful south facing, stone built property dates back to the late 1800's. It is set in a lovely rural location easily accessible to all local amenities, they city of Edinburgh and the coast. Located near to the sleepy village of Hutton, situated off a quiet country lane, this is a fantastic base to explore the unspoilt countryside of the Scottish/English border. Close by Chirnside, Allanton and the medieval town of Berwick upon Tweed and many beautiful sandy beaches including Spittal and Coldingham. There are many local attractions within a short drive away including Floors Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Thirlstaine Castle, Tantallon Castle, Manderston House, Mellerstain House, Abbotsford, Traquair House, Jedburgh Deer Park, Harestanes, Farne Islands and East Links family park are to name a few. Paxton House is less than 4 miles away and has a lovely tea room and adventure play park, there are activities on at certain times of the year here which are very popular with families, there are some lovely walks around the estate, boat trips and fishing are a few of the activities on offer here. Edinburgh is easily accessible by car or train, the Berwick upon Tweed railway station is just 8 miles away and there is a regular train service which takes just over an hour. Entering the house you will walk through from the lobby into the cosy lounge, enjoy an evening in front of the log burner, the kitchen is accessed from the lounge and is well equipped with access out into the garden. You will also find a dining room with feature fire place a great place to catch up after a day exploring. The bathroom is also on the ground floor with a shower over bath and WC. On the first floor there are two large bright bedrooms. There is an enclosed private mature garden with furniture and BBQ. Local free range eggs can be purchased across the road from the house. There is ample parking at the front of the house.
