Our hip and historic apartment is situated in the heart of Alnwick, a bustling medieval market town in Northumberland. 1 Pringles Yard is an eccentric first and second floor apartment resting in the heart of Alnwick (constructed in the early 19th Century; circa 1810), less than a five-minute walk from a series of shops, pubs and restaurants. Internally, the property has been renovated into a stylish holiday base for families or two couples. The lounge has been tastefully decorated with quirky features such as the art nouveau sofa and pool table, providing a relaxing space to unwind in the evening with two window seats, perfect for people watching! Wander on through and discover the modern kitchen, complete with navy blue panelling and stylishly painted units, along with all the essential appliances for your break away. Also, on this floor is a bedroom which boasts a double bed with a quirky, renovated door as a headboard, along with a pretty window seat where you can sit and watch the town life pass by. Head up to the second floor to find a double, finished in a light decor, along with the bathroom with bath and shower over. Paces from the apartment is a local pub, fish and chip shop, cafe, takeaways and a supermarket to pick up those essential items. A few minutes stroll down the road will bring you to the medieval historical Alnwick Castle, which is open to the public throughout the summer. When you fancy venturing out of town, the Northumberland Coast Area of Natural Beauty (AONB) and the Northumberland National Park are full of scenic walking routes amidst stunning landscapes, along with villages such as Alnmouth and Bamburgh nearby. The city of Newcastle is just a 45-minute drive to the south, whereas to the north, Edinburgh can be reached in an hours train journey. Both cities provide a wealth of opportunity whether it be a day of shopping or visiting the historical sites such as Edinburgh Castle or the iconic Angel of the North.
