The Sequoia is a well-equipped ground floor lodge resting in the sleepy village of Cloughton, on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors National Park. Appealing to a small family or couple, this welcoming lodge offers a delightful base for those wishing to explore the wonderful North-East coastline, with the vibrant town of Scarborough just 4 miles away. The tastefully furnished open-plan living room is uplifted by natural light, providing a pleasant space for everyone to gather to discuss the day’s events or settle down with a good movie. The kitchen is well-appointed with numerous integrated appliances, allowing the chef among the group to easily prepare home-cooked meals which can be enjoyed around the dining table. Walk on through to discover the bedrooms, including a king-size double and a twin, served by the bathroom with Jack-and-Jill access. Accessed by the French doors from the living room, the decked veranda is a delightful spot to enjoy your morning cuppa, providing wonderful country and coastal views over the surrounding fields. To the side of this lovely lodge is an astro-turfed section with further seating, along with an enclosed corner with private hot tub – a most welcome addition! The village of Cloughton has two pubs, the Blacksmiths Arms and the Red Lion, which both serve food. Keen walkers will enjoy traversing the 23 mile Cinder Track and the clifftop Cleveland Way trail which are both within easy reach of the cottage. The seaside town of Scarborough is just four miles away and has plenty to offer, with its sandy beaches, castle ruins, pretty gardens and seafront cafes and restaurants. With the wonderful North East Coast on your doorstep, The Sequoia has everything needed for a desirable holiday.
