Welcome pack.. Small sitting-out area with bench. 1 small dog welcome. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: The neighbouring property has right of way through the sitting-out area.. Perfect for two, or a small family of three, wanting to escape to this popular part of the Western Lake District. Race Side is a warm and welcoming end-terraced cottage and takes its name from an old mill race that runs nearby.
The living room is comfortable and perfect after a long day of walking out on the fells, cosy up in front of the open fire and plan the next day’s adventures. A kitchen/dining room has everything you need for both a delicious cooked breakfast to a hearty evening meal, but with some great pubs serving home cooked meals nearby, you could be easily tempted away. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and small single, for a child. You are assured a good night’s rest and you can wake up and revive and refresh in the adjacent bathroom. A small seating area can be found to the rear of the property, ideal for a morning coffee and to take in the fresh air of surrounding countryside.
England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike, is just 6 miles down the road in Wasdale Valley, bring your camera along for a postcard photo of Britain’s favourite view at Wastwater. Check the local tide times as Seascale Beach has miles of open sand at low tide, your four-legged friend will love to stretch their legs on here. Golfers can enjoy the links course here too, with views over to Scotland and the Isle of Man on a clear day. Ravenglass, 6 miles, is home to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, a brilliant day out for all ages and it’s dog friendly too. Muncaster Castle, 6½ miles away, is also a dog-friendly attraction with over 70-acres of wild, woodland gardens for you to explore. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
