In a picturesque village setting, within the beautiful and unspoilt Ceiriog Valley, this delightful former chapel, retains many original features including pretty stained glass windows, original wood flooring and beams. Constructed of slate, mined just across the valley in 1883, it was converted in 2011 to provide spacious open plan living.

The surrounding area boosts a wealth of visitor attractions and outdoor leisure pursuits, including Llangollen’s steam trains, horse drawn canal boat trips and the world famous Eisteddfod music festival, accessed by a spectacular mountain drive from Glyn Ceiriog. Discover Chirk, a historic boarder town, which is home to a magnificent National Trust castle and an 18th-century aqueduct. Many walks start from the village, so you can explore this lovely area on foot with your four-legged friend. The lovely city of Chester is nearby, or why not try your hand at white water rafting at Bala Lake? Travel a little further afield where you can explore the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park within an easy drive.

Dinas Bran, a 13th-century castle ruins, built on the site of an earlier iron age hill fort, with connections to several Welsh princes can be found nearby and is well worth exploring. Enjoy a pleasant uphill walk from Llangollen with fabulous views of the Dee Valley, or visit the Horseshoe Falls, designed by Telford, near the Chain Bridge at Berwyn, which is where the canal starts, fed by the waters of the Dee. Here you can partake in a leisurely walk along the canal from Llangollen, why not travel by horse drawn barge? From the Chain Bridge you can walk over Velvet Mountain to Valle Crucis Abbey, founded in 1201, and the 9th century Eliseg Pillar, near the Horseshoe Pass. The ’panorama’ walk along the easarpment of the Eglwyseg Rocks overlooking Llangollen is well worth your time, or try your hand at some popular local activities including whitewater canoeing, horse riding or even a round of golf.
