The open plan living room, dining room and kitchen provides a convenient layout and a good amount of free space so you can relax and unwind from the moment you arrive. The spacious bathroom offers a shower cubicle and a heated towel rail.

Once a hive of activity with smugglers and fisherman alike, Allonby is now a quiet and relaxing village where you can create your own adventure from this lovely terraced cottage. Offering private parking and open views of the meadows in front, there is also a shared patio ideal for soaking up the sun. Within walking distance are a couple of local restaurants and pubs, where you can enjoy a lovely evening meal. Allonby has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is located between Maryport and Silloth. It is just 1 mile away and can be accessed via a walk along the seafront, just 100 yards from the front door. The nearby beach offers a lovely stretch of sand where you can enjoy the fresh air and exercise your four-legged friends.

In the centre you’ll find a chip shop, a couple of great pubs serving food and local ales, a popular ice-cream shop and a kid’s playing field with football goals and climbing frames. For those seeking more active outdoor pursuits, you are only a 10-mile drive to the Lake District National Park with fantastic walking, climbing and off-road cycling for even the keenest of outdoor adventurers. Just 16 miles away is Lake Bassenthwaite, home to the famous Lakes Distillery, offering guided tours and tastings. The Lake District Wildlife Park with over 100 species of exotic animals is sure to be a fun-filled day out for all ages. Fishing is available nearby and boats can be launched from the beach.
