The Tower-UK11954, Dougarie Estate, Near Blackwaterfoot, Isle Of Arran

Isle of Arran. Sleeps up to 8

There is so much to do on Dougarie Estate, including fishing, distillery tours, golf, tennis, photography workshops and even beauty treatments.. Dougarie is a traditional sporting estate and working farm bringing a sustainable and modern direction to green energy production, agriculture, forestry, nature conservation and game management. It offers a multitude of activities to be enjoyed by all. As one of the most southerly of the Scottish Isles, Arran encapsulates the grandeur and majesty of Scotland, but all packaged within an accessible area 19 miles long by 10 miles wide. Your holiday adventure begins on the ferry from Ardrossan with views of Goat Fell, Brodick Castle and the spiritual Holy Isle.

The Towers is situated within the grounds of the main house Dougarie Lodge, and sleeps up to 8 guests. This is a listed, 19th-century keep, built by the Dukes of Hamilton along with the surrounding yard, stables, game larder and Dougarie Lodge itself. It is a stunning building which has been beautifully renovated, encapsulating its quintessential Scottish tower vibe. There are river walks nearby and Dougarie beach is just yards away with its own beach hut. This property really is one of a kind, especially with the views from the roof terrace.

Whilst you are staying at Dougarie Estate, there are a number of activities offered which guests can enjoy. Fishermen will be in their element, with fly-fishing for salmon and sea trout on the River Iorsa, mackerel fishing and lobster potting boat trips as well as private fishing tuition. Guests can also learn to shoot with both clay pigeon shooting and small-bore rifle target practise offered. Photography workshops for all levels of experience can be arranged, and for the keen chefs amongst you, salami and sausage making classes are also available. If you fancy a bit of pampering, there are two beauty therapists locally who will do home visits for nails, facials and other beauty treatments.

If you are looking for a more active holiday, there is the estate run 9-hole links course at Machrie and golf passes can be arranged prior to your arrival.
