The village of Gresford has a recreation ground with a pond, and the bells of the village church are known as one of the ’Seven Wonders of Wales’. From Gresford it is only a short distance to the bustling and vibrant city of Chester. Here you will find the historic city centre with its walls that you can walk along, a stunning cathedral which is well worth a visit and unique shopping.

To the south, past Wrexham, is the town of Llangollen, famous as the home of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod which takes place every July. You can also enjoy a stroll along the towpath of the Llangollen Canal, take a ride on a horse drawn barge or make a trip on a steam train along the Dee Valley to Corwen. Further afield, the Clwydian Hills beckon you west with plenty of walking opportunities available. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
