Cock Bank Cottage, Cross Lanes Near Bangor-On-Dee

Wrexham. Sleeps up to 4

Bangor-on-Dee 3.4 miles. Nestled close to the quaint village on Banger-On-Dee in the Borough of Wrexham in Wales is this delightful two-bedroomed bungalow, Cock Bank Cottage. There’s plenty of room to park two cars and un-pack into the lovely, open living space and with its excellent location in North Wales, a family of four with one well behaved dog will find this an ideal base to explore. A private lawned area with furniture provides an ideal outdoor space for alfresco dining or enjoying an evening tipple in the summer months after a stroll through the shared access into the woodland behind the property. The living space is perfectly appointed for relaxing with a film or book, as well as hosting a dinner for four guests at the dining table. Then move into the kitchen which houses a selection of equipment for your catering needs, so you can rustle up that favourite meal to be enjoyed either at the dining table in the winter or outside in the garden during the summer. Snuggle down into one of the two bedrooms, a double room and twin room, for that much needed rest then freshen up in the bathroom offering a bath for those that enjoy a soak at the end of the day, and a shower for a quick refresh. Heading out to explore, you’ll find the village offers a few pubs if you feel like a good meal and tipple, and shops for those essential items, whilst Lewis's Farm Shop is the perfect place to purchase some local produce, set near The Plassey, home to a golf club, children’s play area, walking trails, and café. Venture out to Bangor-on-Dee just 3.4 miles away to experience the famous Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse which hosts many exciting fixtures throughout the year, then check out the quaint village of Overton-On-Dee with its 18th century buildings and selection of shops, including the Two Doves Cafe & Gift Shop, or a little further to Erbistock to dine out at The Cross Foxes and The Boat Inn. For a day on the water, be sure to hire a boat and travel across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and canal, starting off in the charming town of Llangollen, dotted with independent shops, pubs and cafés, whilst offering the perfect area to train spot; Chirk is also a recommended town to visit, with Chirk Castle awaiting to tour, a selection of local pubs to take advantage of, and a garden centre, or travel in the opposite direction to tour the manicured gardens of Erddig National Trust. A little further afield is the beautiful medieval town of Chester, where you’ll be spoilt for choice with its many attractions such as its magnificent cathedral, which you can follow up with a walk around the city walls then down to the river for a boat trip on the river dee. There’s fun and relaxation to be found for all the family at Cock Bank Cottage.
