Located in the village of Seaview between Ryde and Bembridge, Glynnhaven is a cosy, contemporary, studio apartment, adjoining the owners’ home. Ideal for couples it offers comfortable accommodation, with a spacious bedroom, a seating area and a modern en-suite shower room, as well as a separate kitchen. The shared rear garden boasts a lovely summerhouse and seating area, ideal for al fresco dining.

Glynnhaven is situated in a quiet residential area just a few minutes’ walk from the seafront and the popular sandy Seagrove Bay. At low tide you can walk miles along the sands in either direction to the unspoilt Priory Bay or to Puckpool Park.

Seaview, as its name eludes, has a strong maritime history, and during the summer months the village becomes a busy centre for sailing and watersports. Its reputation as an Edwardian resort was built on its sea views and great sandy beaches, and these are still today two of its largest assets. The nearby beach of Springvale offers some wonderful views, straight across The Solent to Portsmouth and the Spinnaker Tower, and the famous Solent forts. To the rear of Springvale is Puckpool Park, built within a former Victorian fortification battery and has tennis courts, and mini-golf areas as part of its beautiful gardens.

The island is a real hot spot for cycling enthusiasts with a choice of challenging off-road cycle ways, peaceful bridleways and level purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines. You can cycle across the width of the island to the famous Needles landmark or try the full island route, which is 66 miles long and is used for the annual Isle of Wight Randonnee.

Other outdoor pursuits available include horse riding, fishing, paragliding, golf and water sports. There are numerous attractions across the island, such as The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay, Dinosaur Isle, the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Tapnell Farm Park and Carisbrooke Castle. You can even pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House. The sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes also make for a great day out.

There is a number of good restaurants in and around the area as well as pubs and cafés, all ideal spots from which to enjoy the coastal surroundings over a glass of wine and some local seafood. Beach 1 mile. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
