This lovely semi-detached property enjoys amazing views across the heather clad hills of the Sleat peninsula, and makes the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye and the west coast of the highlands. Set next door to the owners’ home, Meadowcroft has been equipped and furnished to a good standard to ensure you have as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible. Pets are also welcome at the property, and the owner has provided a dog bed and blankets. The Sleat peninsula is known as ‘The Garden of Skye’ with its lush gardens and forests which meet the waters of the Sound of Sleat, where you can find many unspoilt beaches and rocky inlets. The peninsula is the home to the Torabhaig Distillery, the first malt whisky distillery to be built on Skye since 1831. Visit Armadale Castle and its beautiful gardens, the Clan Donald Skye Visitor Centre and the Kylerhea Otter Hide, all just a short drive.
Travel to the northern end of the island to visit Dunvegan Castle and Gardens, and from there take a walk to the stunning coral beach. Portree, the island’s capital, has a lovely range of shops, restaurants and bars, which very often have live music, making for a great night out. For the outdoor enthusiast, Skye is a paradise. Enjoy walking and climbing in the Cuillins, mountain biking, pony trekking and an abundance of water sports including whale watching boat trips, kayaking and fishing, to name just a few. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and unwind and admire the views from the comfort of your chair. Beach 7¾ miles. Shop 6¾ miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
