There are many woodland walks for those that enjoy the wildlife and fauna and it is in abundance down in Teangue and the rest of the south end of Skye, sightings of a golden eagle are well known as are the sea eagle, whales, dolphins, porpoises and many more. Boat trips into the Cuillins are very popular (if you do not wish to climb them) and going around other parts of the island allows you to see the Isle of Skye from the outside in!
Locally you can also visit Armadale Castle, the Clan Macdonald Centre and you can catch a ferry over to the fishing town of Mallaig. There are a number of good restaurants within the area and they use local produce. There is a small store a couple of miles south and the biggest town is Broadford which is 15 miles north.
Airor is a wonderful house, both the double bedrooms are situated on either side of the living and dining area of the house and all have the same wonderful view over the Sleat peninsula. The wood burner in the living room gives a lovely welcome when you come in from a wee walk and is the perfect spot to relax in front of.
Heading north you will go into the centre of the Island where you will find the island’s main town of Portree; a nice drive is to go north up to the Old Man of Storr and the Quirang going through the village of Staffin and heading back down to the village of Uig where the ferries leave for the Outer Isles. Just outside Uig you will find the Fairy Glen. Closer to home is the Fairy Pools which is just past the Talisker distillery. To the island’s west coast is Dunvegan Castle (which is the seat of the Clan MacLeod) and further on, you will come to Neist Point Lighthouse; there is no road ahead but 600 steps down to the actual lighthouse and the views over to the Outer Isles. Whether you want to stay local, or head out enjoying the island, no matter what it will be a pleasure to return to the comfort of Airor and the warmth and the spectacular views received. Beach 8½ miles. Pub and restaurant 5 miles.

The bedroom has full size windows, which are also fire exits and not to be opened as doors unless for fire - they are very heavy windows. In the living area, the far-left hand side of the patio door is the sliding door to be used.

Located in Isle of Skye, this cottage is by the sea. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Traigh a' Chnuic and Traigh Ostaig, while Museum of the Isles and Mallaig Heritage Centre are cultural highlights. Magpie and Isle of Skye Market Square are also worth visiting.
