Seacroft is a lovely mid-terraced holiday home offering comfortable accommodation for six people. Situated in a slightly elevated position, it looks out over the town with the ruins of Aberystwyth Castle and the sea in the distance. A great location for all of the town centre amenities, from shopping, strolling along the promenade, or visiting the fascinating Ceredigion Museum housed in an old theatre. There’s also a unique café within walking distance - above the fire station! Seacroft has direct access, from the rear garden on to an open area of hillside known as Pendinas, a local nature reserve with stunning views over the surrounding countryside, coast and town. This connects to the coastal path south of Aberystwyth which is promoted amongst the National Trust’s 10 top coastal walks. The bench at the top of the garden is a great place to watch the sun setting over Cardigan Bay. The cycle path from Aberystwyth to Tregaron, along the old railway line, passes very close to the house.
At the north end of the seafront is the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway which ascends Constitution Hill from where you can admire the glorious view out to sea, or enjoy a tasty bite in the café. The National Library of Wales is housed in Aberystwyth too, which is also home to the vibrant Aberystwyth Arts Centre, part of the university complex, which offers a wide selection of theatre, cinema and exhibitions all year round. The railway station is within walking distance too, and from here you can hop on board an historic steam train on the Vale of Rheidol Railway for the spectacular journey along the Rheidol Valley to the waterfalls at Devil’s Bridge. It’s also just a short drive to the beautiful Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Centre, offering walks, birdwatching and a range of outdoor activities. Beach ¼ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
