The Griffin Inn at Dale is an award winning pub and serves fresh locally caught fish by the pub’s own fishing boat. Marloes (NT), Watwick Bay, Broad Haven North - beautiful golden sandy beaches on the Dale Peninsula are all just a short drive from the cottage. On the south coast of Pembrokeshire find exotic Barafundle Beach, voted one of the best picnic spots in Europe, Freshwater East , a big beach popular for all kinds of ball games and the pretty seaside village of Manorbier. Wonderful coastal walking along the Coastal Path - cliffs carpeted with wild flowers in the spring, sea birds galore and spectacular scenery. Milford Haven and Marina just 1 mile from this Pembrokeshire waterfront holiday cottageOnce a commercial quayside there are now cafés, restaurants and smart shops, with a ten pin bowling alley and an indoor play area on the western side of the marina. It makes for a perfect time to while away the days watching the Marina's activity or enjoying a coffee in one of the many smart cafés. Stop for lunch at Foam and enjoy a Sharing Board and a glass of wine, or how about Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, warm scones and a glass of bubbles. Sailing is a popular pastime in the Haven the Milford Marina and all its support services replace the once massive fishing fleet. The seafaring history of Milford Haven can also be seen in the local museum, housed in one of the oldest buildings in the town - the old whale oil storage building built in 1797.
