Set in an elevated position, within 3-acre grounds of mature communal gardens and woodland, Crag View is a first floor apartment forming part of a stunning Victorian house with many of its original features still in place. The large living room is filled with natural light from its grand west-facing windows, perfect to sit on the comfy sofa and enjoy the views over the Coniston and Loughrigg Fells. In fact, you will be in for a treat whichever window you choose your view from. The kitchen overlooks the mature gardens, a haven for the local wildlife, whilst the bedroom windows have a glimpse of Lake Windermere too. Relax in bed and enjoy the panoramas outside that await you to explore them. The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room, and there is also a family bathroom just off the hallway.

Within a short walk is Lake Windermere, accessed via Borrans Park, a popular spot for a picnic. Make sure to visit the Roman fort at Galava. For the ramblers in your family, many of the fells can be accessed on foot from your front door, but if you want something a little closer, the views down the lake from Todd Crag will make an evening walk very rewarding. The pier at Waterhead is a perfect photo moment. Here you can catch one of the lake cruises, or simply grab a bite to eat or a coffee from one of the surrounding cafés. Head into Ambleside itself, a short and easy 10-minute stroll. There are many shops, traditional Lakeland pubs, restaurants and even two cinemas should you wish to catch the latest movie on a rainy day. Public transport is readily available if you want to leave the car. Hop onto one of the open top buses and see more of the surrounding countryside. Beach 23½ miles. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
