The Barn at Smalldale Hall, Bradwell

Peak District. Sleeps up to 8

A stone-built, detached barn conversion situated in a tranquil location down a quiet lane, on the outskirts of Bradwell in the Hope Valley. Refurbished with an eco-friendly design, this retreat is perfect for families or a group of travellers wishing for a peaceful holiday in a rural location. Arrive at the ground floor, where you will be welcomed by a family bedroom housing a double bed, a single, and pull-out bed; a mix of styles to suit every guest, all tied together by an en-suite bathroom. Take the spiral staircase up to an open-plan lounge which oozes warmth and charm, a perfect spot to socialise and relax from morning through to evening. The beautiful kitchen and breakfast bar lie in one corner of the room, and a dining table is situated adjacent, for those delightful evening gatherings. Another area is reserved for the lounge, which is a homely base for a night in front of the TV on the comfortable sofas. Continue to the second floor, a magnificent mezzanine area, a double room rests to one side, whilst the twin room lies to the other. Both boast lovely en-suite bathrooms and the landing area is a spectacular bridge-link to the bedrooms with exposed beams and a real sense of character. In a prime position in the Peak District National Park, Bradwell has shops, pubs and places to eat and makes an excellent base to explore. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, lies nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafés and an open-air heated swimming pool. An excellent cottage with scenic walks from the doorstep.
