The village layout is composed of a long main street leading into nearby Wirksworth, which is home to a village shop and a good local pub. The surrounding countryside offers wonderful walking and cycling routes throughout the region, with the disused High Peak Railway line close by recently converted into a path known as the High Peak Cycle Trail. The nearby town of Matlock provides a good range of shops and pubs, whilst the many National Trust properties and museums throughout the area are not to be missed.

Located in Matlock, this cottage is in a rural area. Peak District Mining Museum & Temple Mine and The Grand Pavilion, Matlock Bath are cultural highlights, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit East Midlands Designer Outlet and Chesterfield Market. Traveling with kids? Consider Gulliver's Kingdom and Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. Explore all the area has to offer with hiking/biking trails and cycling.
