Charming Pont Dulais Cottage, an annexe of the owner’s home, is a 200 year old cottage with thick stone walls and wooden beams adorning the ceiling, adding a sense of character. As you walk into the living/dining room you’ll be greeted by a warm and welcoming environment, emitted from the wood burner housed in a stone fireplace. Initial logs are provided so you can light the fire, crack open a bottle of wine and snuggle up on the large sofa. All on the ground floor, the annex has a compact kitchen, shower room and a double bedroom which has a high, beamed ceiling, giving it a bright and airy feel. Outside, the enclosed lawned garden has a table and chairs for you to enjoy, also ideal for al fresco dining.
The village of Llanllwni has a shop, post office and two pubs, both serving fresh, locally sourced produce. The fantastic location means you’re not too far from lots of interesting places to visit. The wonderful Cardigan Bay coastline is only a half an hour drive away so you can visit the attractive coastal towns and villages including New Quay, Aberaeron, Llangrannog and Aberystwyth. Many of the beaches are dog friendly throughout the year, so if you’re bringing your pets, they can enjoy a walk on the beach. The area is abundant in walking and cycling paths, and a trip to Mynydd Llanllwni, Llanllwni Mountain, is a must as it is practically on the doorstep. This special landscape with spectacular views across both Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion is the perfect place to savour the tranquillity of the forest tracks and open moorland, both rich in wildlife. Those looking for a variety of outdoor pursuits will love a visit to the nearby Llandysul Paddlers, known as being a centre of excellence for canoeing, as well as kayaking, coasteering, rock climbing and abseiling, raft building and much more. When you’ve done exploring, Pont Dulais Cottage will welcome you home, and makes the perfect retreat for two. Beach 19 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
