Nestled in the hamlet of Kirkpatrick, 10 miles North of Dumfries lies our newly renovated cottage.
The kitchen has beautiful views over the lowther hills and offers complimentary tea and coffee for after your journey. The sitting room has a large wood effect stove and hand built rustic bar. The 'bar' has been converted into a games area/library however still comes with fridge and wine glasses (sorry wine not provided.) In the sitting room you will also find comfortable leather sofas, tv (equipt with freesat) and dvd player. The large patio doors open onto a patio and landscaped garden perfect for your morning coffee. This is a dog friendly cottage, both front and back gardens are fully enclosed.
The cottage has 2 large bedrooms, one is a double and the other a family room with a double and a single bed.

House Rules:
We want you to have a trip to remember so ask as many questions as you like.
Please no smoking in the cottage (cigarette pots are located at both doors.)
Sorry but no pets allowed.
Please feel free to exchange books in the 'bar' or leave for the next traveller.

Located in Thornhill, this cottage is in a rural area. Ellisland Farm and Old Bridge House are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Romans and Reivers Route and Moat Brae National Centre for Children's Literature. Traveling with kids? Consider Dumfries Ice Bowl, or check out an event or a game at Lockerbie Ice Rink. Fishing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and hiking nearby.
