Set in an idyllic, tranquil, rural location with superb panoramic views of unspoilt countryside, including the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Uniquely accessed by its own railway crossing and located up a private drive, Dildre, ref 27167 (meaning ’pretty home’ in Welsh), has been awarded VisitWales Gold Award, and is a beautiful apartment forming part of the owners’ oak post and beam house, with solid oak floor being one of the features made by the owners. Along with Field View, ref 27168, they are both perfectly located for unwinding and taking in the countryside. The holiday cottages have been built and furnished to very good standards. Come by train on the ’Heart of Wales’ line which stops at Cynghordy at the bottom of the owners’ land. Close by are the Brecon Beacons, Llyn Brianne, the Dolaucothi Gold Mine (NT), Dinefwr Park (NT) and the Cynghordy viaduct. Horse riding can be found nearby. Shops, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
