Guests can enjoy the local beach, just a short walk (ramp access available) from Hideaway Cottage, plus explore Viking Bay and its coastal walk. Folk week is a popular summer festival held each year in Broadstairs, attracting bands and acts from across the country during the week-long celebration. There are a number of other events held throughout the year including the Dickens Week, a food festival and a water gala. Margate provides an excellent day out for all the family. There are sandy beaches lined with cafes and shops and ’Dreamland’, the UK’s original pleasure park full of traditional rides and themed festivals perfect for kids. For adults the internationally acclaimed Turner Contemporary showcases both old and modern works from the renowned artist who so loved this stunning seascape.
