Friars Fold is a fantastic, detached holiday cottage situated on the edge of Backbarrow. For many years the property served as a family home, now it is the perfect bolthole for holidaymakers of any kind.


One of the property’s best features is its central location; just 10 miles to the town of Windermere and 10 miles to Coniston Water, so you can explore all of the south Lakeland district’s delights in no time. There’s also the Haverthwaite Steam Railway that runs to the southern end of Windermere, from which you can sail up to Bowness and Ambleside. Needless to say, the area is a walker’s and cyclist’s paradise, with a plethora of cycle routes and scenic walks criss-crossing the region. Sea fishing nearby. Beach 6 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub 1 mile and restaurant ¼ mile.
