Head south by car to the town of Cockermouth, where you can spend time roaming the serene grounds of Harris Park and the Memorial Gardens, pay a visit to the National Trust location of Wordsworth House and Garden, and stop by the historic landmark of Cockermouth Castle. You'll also find a plethora of must-see attractions within the Lake District National Park, such as the Keswick Museum, the Ambleside Roman Fort, and the mountain ranges of Skiddaw and Helvellyn.
