There is excellent walking on lanes and footpaths with direct access to Offa’s Dyke at Hergest Ridge. Much of Herefordshire and the border areas are easily reached, whilst the coast at Aberystwyth is about 60 miles. Leominster is 15 miles, and Hay-on-Wye, also 15 miles, is convenient for the Hay Festival, whilst Ludlow, Bromyard and Hereford are about 20 miles. Other attractions well worth a visit include Hergest Croft Gardens, Westonbury Mill Water Gardens, Kinnersley Castle, Hereford Cathedral with its chained library and Mappa Mundi centre, and the Black and White Village Trail at Ledbury. There is an owl and small breeds farm less than a mile away, as well as a red kite feeding station nearby. River fishing is also available at Letton Court. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1½ miles.
