Shower room:  with shower enclosure, WC and wash basin. All electricity and oil included. First basket of wood for both fires supplied.  Fireguard available for open fire only. Bed linen and towels provided.  Travel cot and highchair available. . Garden with large decked area, outdoor furniture and BBQ. Four roving fishing permits (for use on the River Forth & Teith) can be purchased from the owners on arrival. Off road parking for 2 cars. NB: Open access to the riverside.. The Old Mill Cottage is a charming single-storey semi detached holiday property situated on the edge of the historic town of Stirling. The cottage is positioned on the banks of the River Forth, which meanders through the town.  Inside the cottage is comfortably appointed with an open fire in the lounge and a large wood burning stove in the dining room. The kitchen is fully fitted, well equipped and has a stunning view over the River Forth.  In the garden there is a large wooden deck and outdoor furniture where you can relax, enjoy listening and watching the river flowing by. Perhaps spot some wildlife including herons, ducks, and otters or at night catch a glimpse of the resident owl. Depending on the season there is both trout and salmon fishing available and reasonably priced fishing permits can be purchased from the owners.
