The Victorian spa town of Bridge of Allan is just a couple of miles away, named after Allan Water, the river that flows through the town - the extensive history of the town dates back to the Iron Age and today you will find a golf club, a good selection of shops and restaurants and the Macrobert Arts Centre at Stirling University. From here, you can easily access picturesque walking trails through the Ochil Hills, while the magnificent Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is ten miles away, offering walking, cycling and climbing opportunities through mountains and along rivers.
