An attractive detached stone cottage, set in a picturesque location in the small hamlet of Anelog, 2 miles from the beautiful fishing village of Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. This single-storey cottage will appeal to a couple, family or group of friends who want to enjoy time together exploring one of the most beautiful areas along this coastline. On entering the cottage, you will notice the character features of the property including high pitched beamed ceilings throughout as well as fantastic countryside views. The spacious kitchen has everything needed with a good-sized dining table, making a great social space for preparing and enjoying some home-cooked meals. The sitting room has plenty of comfy sofas with an impressive stone inglenook fireplace housing the electric stove, making a great place to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area. Completing the property are three comfy bedrooms with a well-appointed family bathroom. To the outside are some large lawned gardens surrounding the house on all sides. The side garden is enclosed making a great space for some family games or even for the kids to have a kick about. There is a good-sized patio and furniture, a lovely place for some alfresco dining or just to relax with a glass of something chilled. There are some excellent walks from the doorstep many of which link up to the Welsh Coastal Path, opening up miles of unspoilt coastal and cliff top walks. The famous Whistling Sands Beach is just over two miles away and is set in one of the National Trust’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within a 10 minute drive is the charming fishing village of Aberdaron with its lime-washed fishermen's cottages, cafes, shops, and hotels which give the village its’ character. Aberdaron has a lovely sheltered sandy beach as well as the superb surf beach at Hell’s Mouth. Abersoch and Pwllheli are popular resorts only a short drive away and further afield, but still within driving distance, is the Italianate village of Portmeirion, the wonderful Snowdonia National Park, and the Isle of Anglesey. Whatever you decide to do, Ty Hen is in a great place for enjoying the many coastal resorts and attractions, providing a wonderful base at any time of the year.
