Kingfisher Barn, East Taphouse

Cornwall. Sleeps up to 7

East Taphouse 2 miles. This extremely spacious cottage is set on a small farm complex of barn conversions, close to the village of East Taphouse. A wonderful cottage for relaxing both inside and outside in a peaceful location and is ideal for families and friends to get away from it all. After driving down the private lane past the farm, you enter the cottage and you will immediately notice the airy feel whilst the children will be drawn to the full-size pool table in the sitting room, together with a woodburner, where you can gather if the weather is a bit cold. There is a table in the large well-equipped kitchen for breakfast and also a dining table in the sitting room for more formal meals. There are three comfortable bedrooms, a king-size double with en-suite facilities on the ground floor, together with a king-size double and a children’s bunk room with additional single bed on the first floor. Outside this delightful cottage, you can enjoy dining alfresco on the superb enclosed private terrace, which is accessed from the sitting room. Drive back up the lane and you are on the way to a choice of Looe or Polperro, both about the same distance away. A day could easily be spent in each of these historic old fishing ports, but being so close by, a day trip combining the two is easily possible. Both have their individual charm and both offer a wide choice of excellent pubs, restaurants and take-away food. With easy access to many other leading tourist attractions in Cornwall, combined with such ideal family accommodation, a stay at this lovely cottage will be a delight at any time of year.
