The historic town of Barnard Castle boasts a traditional weekly market and there are many excellent restaurants, cafés, bakeries and shops within a few minutes’ walk of this cottage. A visit to the Bowes Museum is a must but make sure you get there in time to see the Silver Swan in action. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is easily accessible by car as are the popular market towns of Richmond and Ripon, the Northern Dales town of Reeth, the city of Durham, and even the Lake District. This townhouse provides a perfect base for your Teesdale getaway.
