11 Painter Wood, a three-storey home is situated in the small village of Billington, near Whalley in Lancashire. With beautiful views, roadside parking and an honesty bar, 11 Painter Wood welcomes four guests, perfect for a rural escape. Take a step into the property, you'll find a stylish open-plan living/kitchen space to prepare and cook your meals as a family, warm your feet by the woodburning stove, get the popcorn ready to watch a movie or perhaps play a few games before heading off to bed. This real home-away-from-home offers a lower-ground floor dining and entertaining space for four guests to celebrate a fabulous holiday, whilst in the warmer months open the patio doors to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining whilst overlooking the fantastic views of the viaduct and amazing sunset, with an honesty bar to pick from array of tasty treats. As the evening grows darker, head upstairs to be invited by two plush king-size rooms, ideal to relax and unwind after washing off your muddy feet in the refreshing shower. If you can tear away from your idyllic abode, take a walk to Whalley to enjoy brunch at Deux Amis or Holden & Co or savour an evening meal at Tapas 47, Amico Mios, Salvage House or King Street Kitchen, also a short drive away is the Black Bull, Tiggis, Shajan plus many more. For those feeling energetic, head to Blackpool to discover Blackpool Zoo, a great day out for the family, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, for thrill seekers and entertainment or visit Blackpool Pier for seaside fun. The cottage is close to the charming village of Whalley with a wealth of attractions, including Whalley Viaduct, the longest brick built viaduct in Lancashire, River Calder, a tranquil spot for fishing, and Everyman Clitheroe, to experience the latest movies. Nearby to Whalley is the vibrant town of Clitheroe with a bustling high street full of character and history, take an explore to Clitheroe Castle, grab some food at Little Barista, or even adventure further afield to Hurst Green and Hobbit Hill Circular, for avid walkers. Whatever the weather, 11 Painter Wood makes a beautiful getaway for family and friends.
