The excellent tram service runs all the way to South Shore in Blackpool or Fleetwood. Wyre Estuary Country Park is just a short drive away with walks along the River Wyre. Head over to Fleetwood to visit another great sandy beach, shop at the outdoor Affinity centre or to try out a game of golf. Visit Blackpool, where there is the famous Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Zoo and Blackpool Pleasure Beach theme park amongst many other attractions. From here, visit the large sandy beaches at Lytham St Annes, or head over to the beautiful Forest of Bowland, where you can enjoy scenic walks and pub lunches in the nearby quaint villages of the Ribble Valley. Lancaster is within an easy drive, with its fantastic castle and bustling town centre, and from here you can head over to the Lake District National Park and try out walks, lake cruises, water sports and wild swimming.
