When bedtime calls, the stylish king-size bedroom offers a delightful sanctuary for you to rest your head after a tiring day of holiday adventures. The remaining bedrooms are equally as welcoming with both rooms boasting views of the surrounding land and sea scape. Whilst two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, a good-sized family bathroom completes the property. Whatever the season, spending time outside is a must here and the decking area has been well-positioned to make the most of the setting with stunning views of the islands of Eriskay, Barra and beyond to the mountains of Rum. Tempting as it is to get settled in and soak up the views from the cottage, they are even better close up so exploring the island is a must. A short walk from the cottage is the beautiful Cockle Beach with other superb beaches such as Glendale and Eriskay also close by. From the island you can take a short ferry trip to the neighbouring island of Barra and the town of Lochboisdale is a short but scenic drive and has plenty to offer visitors looking for a trip out. If you enjoy mountain climbing then you’ve come to the right place with the South Uist peaks of Ben Mhor and Hecla a popular destination. Well worth a day out from South Uist is Lochmaddy on North Uist. For a taste of a quieter life with stunning views to boot, Beachcombers has to be the ultimate holiday destination. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Lochmaddy, or Oban to Lochboisdale.
