Exploring the Outer Hebrides couldn’t be easier from Fuidagh with long walks along the sandy beaches literally right on the doorstep; or you can hop into the car and drive over the causeway to the Isle of Eriskay which has more stunning scenery, a pub and a restaurant which are worth visiting and is allegedly the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie first stepped on Scottish soil. From here you can catch a boat over to the Isle of Barra, perfect to visit for a day out. The towns of Lochboisdale and a little further away, Lochmaddy are both great for a browse with some fantastic shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants all showcasing the best of the islands’ local culture and the ideal place to pick up a gift to take home as a memento of your holiday.
