Set in 2 ½ acres of garden, within the New Forest National Park boundary and just half a mile’s walk from open heath and ancient woodland, The Apothecary’s Cottage has undergone extensive refurbishment - now graded 4 stars by Visit Britain - to provide very comfortable accommodation, admirably suited for two families or a large party. The cottage has a wonderful garden, with an abundance of shrubs and wild flowers. This is a haven for wildlife, including several species of deer and a huge variety of birds. Inside, the accommodation combines spacious and flexible living spaces with elements of its original character, parts of which date from 17th century.
The Apothecary’s Cottage is less than 5 minutes from the A31 trunk road and is well placed for exploring the surrounding area; the historic market town of Ringwood, with good shopping and leisure facilities, is 2 miles away and the New Forest village of Burley with its picturesque cottages, shops and tea rooms is 4 miles. The New Forest provides an almost limitless variety of outdoor pursuits – walking, riding, cycling, golf and watersports, both on inland waters and on the coast. Attractions not to be missed are Beaulieu (National Motor Museum & Palace House), Bucklers Hard (waterside village) Exbury Gardens (stunning azeleas & rhododendrons).
