Grove Lodge is a superb 5 bedroom chalet style detached property situated within the southern coastal town of Gosport, Hampshire, a seaside peninsular with over 24 miles of waterfront access. The house has been refurbished and furnished to a good 4* star standard and is within a 5 minute drive of Stokes Bay beach and a short walk into town where the ferry can take you for a short 4 minute ride to Portsmouth and the wonderful Gunwharf Quays.

Accommodation

Three of the lovely double bedrooms have superior quality king size five foot double beds which can separate to create 2 singles, the fourth a four foot double bed and the fifth a single bed. All beds are made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels prior to our guests arrival. Each 1st floor bedroom has the option of additional sleeping if required in comfy beds, plus there is a double and single ground floor bedroom for those that do not fancy the stairs. The property can sleep up to 13 guests in the bedrooms, plus the 3 upstairs bedrooms can comfortably accommodate children's cots on request, that can be supplied at no extra cost.

The property boasts three high spec bathrooms with the master bedroom accommodating a generous sized en-suite with a large corner bath and separate shower cubicle. The main communal 1st floor bathroom has a bath and separate shower and the ground floor double bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Plus there is a ground floor cloakroom toilet.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering, plus a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and is situated adjacent to the open plan dining room which is home to a large 12 seater dining table. When not used for dining this table converts to a table tennis or pool table to keep young and old amused for hours.

The lounge is off the main centre hallway accommodating a large corner sofa plus a separate smaller sofa and a smart flat screen TV.

Also off the kitchen is a comfortable sized conservatory, housing a fridge/freezer, with both the conservatory and the kitchen leading onto a lovely enclosed garden with mature shrubs and trees, plus a chalet style wooden summerhouse and a small child's Wendy House. You can also hire in a Hot Tub, if desired. (Conditions apply - please contact us for further details).

Our prices advertised on our website are for up to 13 guests with all linen and towels provided, which are changed weekly with a mid week maid service available on request. Child cots, highchairs and stairgates also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child's bedding).

Grove Lodge is pet friendly and we warmly welcome up to 3 medium sized well behaved four legged friends at an additional cost of £25 each per dog, per week/part week. (However, to be fair to our neighbours no continuous barkers please).

All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels (in particular out in the gardens and outside areas into the evenings) then we would love to have you stay and have had countless group gatherings who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then you may wish to consider something more rural, without neighbours.

​In addition to the rental cost we do take a £500 refundable damages deposit, which is fully refundable within 7 working days of your departure, obviously subject to no significant damages or excessive cleaning.

​​Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue.

This cottage is located in Gosport. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Meon Shore Beach and South Downs National Park, while Royal Navy Submarine Museum and New Theatre Royal are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids?
