Stroll the circular walk atop the town's Elizabethan walls, and capture the spectacular views across the River Tweed estuary and Berwick's three bridges, including the famous Royal Border Bridge. Brush up on your history by visiting the local museums, enjoy sun-filled days at the beach and be inspired by the exhibitions in the town's superb galleries. The nearby town of Duns offers an award-winning butchers and a quality delicatessen, as well as pubs and restaurants, whilst the Jim Clark Museum and the Jim Clark Rally draw racing enthusiasts from all over the world. Duns Castle is well worth a visit, a romantic castle in a beautiful, natural setting, with well-marked woodland and lakeside walks through the estate.
Venture on a short trip up to Eyemouth to feed the resident harbour seals and enjoy the award-winning fish and chips, or take a boat trip for some coastal exploration.
