Known for its harbour where lobster boats moor. It has a pebble beach in a super cove at the bottom of the hill with quaint fisherman cottages which are right on the walkway next to beach and sea. Burnmouth is the FIRST and LAST fishing village of Scotland which the local pub/restaurant takes its name from. EYEMOUTH Over in the historic county of Berwickshire part of the Scottish Borders region, is the fishing village of Eyemouth, not far from the larger town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Home to local shops, several pub’s restaurants and cafes, a swimming pool, a golf course, a fishing port with harbour, and small supermarket. This fishing village can offer everything you need for the essentials during your stay. Why not feed the seals in the harbour the locals do. AYTON Ayton Castle dominates the town, and is built around a peel tower, it was built in the 1850s in the Scottish Baronial style in red sandstone, and is well worth visiting and walking around the lovely grounds. Around 7 miles away is the coastal town of Berwick upon tweed. BERWICK UPON TWEED Berwick-upon-Tweed the mouth of the River Tweed known for Salmon fishing and its fortress walls. With sandy beaches and beautiful riverside and fortress wall walks on offer, wander around one of the lovely parks or browse the Berwick Museum & Art Gallery for the afternoon and visit the High Street for some shopping. Alternatively visit the Maltings for the cinema, theatre and café. Lots of great eating places in Berwick upon Tweed with a train station too.
