Rookmead Cottage, in the semi-rural setting of Wellow, is just a few miles from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.. Ground Floor:
Living room: With Freeview TV.
Kitchen: With electric hob, microwave and fridge.
Shower room: With walk-in shower and toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom: With kingsize bed.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Garden with garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. . Rookmead Cottage is a light, airy space with spectacular views of the lovely countryside to the front and rear of the property making it an ideal place to come and relax and is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists. With a regular local bus service nearby, access to the whole island is very easy.
There are two electric bicycles available to hire on a daily basis should you be feeling a little energetic. Please note that lights and helmets are not provided. Also there are two kayaks available on a daily hire basis by direct arrangement with the owner.
Yarmouth town is located on the north west of the Isle of Wight, and acts as one of the gateways to the island with a ferry services operating from Lymington. The historic port town sits at the mouth of the River Yar and contains some of the oldest architecture on the island including a 16th-century castle. The harbour at Yarmouth is always very busy with both ferries and smaller boats, and the town offers a good variety of things to do for visitors. The history of the town is very evident as you walk round and a trip along the Grade II listed pier is highly recommended for views across The Solent, and is also known locally for being a great spot for fishing.
The fantastic Colwell Bay is located a short drive away and is one of the most picturesque beaches in the west. Spectacular views across The Solent to mainland England, with clear waters and gently sloping sand and shingle, it’s an ideal beach for swimming. There is a bar, restaurant and a café to try the exquisite seafood, experience some of the finest sunsets or enjoy a stroll along to neighbouring Totland Bay. The Isle of Wight is a stunning island to visit with lots to do for everyone. There is a licensed café within walking distance of the property.

Located in Yarmouth, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. Chessell Pottery Barns and Dimbola Lodge are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Calbourne Water Mill and Fort Victoria Country Park. The Needles Landmark Attraction and Lymington Sea Water Baths are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with horse riding.
