Town: Kirkoswald, a charming rural village in the Eden Valley, is well located for exploring the North Pennines and the Lake District, two areas of outstanding natural beauty. A 12th-century church, two top-notch pubs offering high-quality food, a store, and a post office are all located in Kirkoswald. The area is well-known for walking, cycling, canoeing, hiking, and excellent salmon and trout fishing along the neighbouring River Eden. There are literally miles of beautiful walkways that follow the course of the river and provide inviting areas for picnics and sightseeing. Expect gorges and caves throughout the trip, and keep an eye out for the ten unique benchmark sculptures. One of Cumbria's best-kept secrets is the Eden Gorge, which is between Lazonby and Armathwaite. It is definitely worth exploring, and the nearby train station is a stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, one of the country's most picturesque rail routes. A short journey will take you to Brougham Castle, Long Meg and her daughters (the third-largest stone circle in England), Hadrian's Wall, the town of Penrith, and the ancient city of Carlisle. Kirkoswald is a good location to stay because the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks are both accessible from there.

Located in Penrith, this vacation home is in a rural area. Saint Nicholas and Acorn Bank are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Lake District National Park and North Pennines. Explore all the area has to offer with cycling and hiking.
