This property enjoys a quiet location down a quiet lane, just a short distance from the village of Hawkshead, which is popular with visitors thanks to its Beatrix Potter Gallery, cosy pubs, and cobbled streets. There are plentiful enjoyable walks in the area, around the edge of Lake Windermere, in Grizedale Forest and around the attractive lake at Tarn Hows, but for those who want to try more challenging pursuits the mountains are only a short drive away. Entering this cottage, guests ae able to leave coats and shoes in the entrance hall, before going through to the homely lounge/diner with its sofas, chairs, views over the garden, TV, and DVD. The open fire is a lovely focal point for this room. The dining area is behind the main seating area of this room and has a fold out table, ensuring that there is plenty of space when meals are not being eaten. The light and airy kitchen has a breakfast table, perfect for informal meals, and is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave, whilst the washing machine and freezer are located in a separate utility room, which doubles as a handy boot room. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor: a double and a single room, as is the main bathroom, with shower over the bath and WC. There is also a ground floor cloakroom with WC. Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms, one of which is a double, as well as a twin and another single room. There is also an additional shower room upstairs. Outside, the beautiful spacious garden to the rear of the property is accessed via the utility room and offers a large lawn area, with attractive shrubs and trees, whilst to the front of the property, there is a gated driveway with parking for up to three cars. Guests are able to use the property s garage to securely store bikes.
