A characterful cottage located on the outskirts of the village Darsham and only a few doors down fro, Darsham

Suffolk. Sleeps up to 3

A characterful cottage located on the outskirts of Darsham village, only a few doors down from an excellent village pub and just 10 minutes from Dunwich with its delightful beach, Abbey ruins, characterful pub and museum. Ideal for a small family and their furry friend; or a couple seeking a romantic break.

The cottage has a cosy sitting room with original beams and a wood burning stove to keep you cosy in the evenings during the cold winter months and even take the chill off a cool summer evening. The kitchen, whilst modest in size is very well-equipped for rustling up a hearty breakfast or evening meal. Beyond the kitchen is the rear hallway with a useful laundry cupboard which houses the washing machine and microwave. You will also find the bathroom beyond the kitchen on the ground floor, typical for a cottage of this age. The bathroom features a roll-top bath and over-head shower. The master bedroom with a king-size bed has antique furniture aplenty, a sumptuous mattress with cotton bed linen, plenty of storage and views to the front garden. The second single bedroom is a prettily decorated, light and bright room.

Outside, to the front is a grassed cottage garden and to the rear, an enclosed garden with table and chairs for those summer evenings. Further back is a large shed with a further fridge-freezer and which provides ideal storage for bicycles.

Darsham is a dark sky area and so clear nights should provide some interesting star gazing. The core of the village retains its 16th Century cottages and church. The cottage is just ten minutes from Dunwich Heath, forest, RSPB Minsmere and is excellently placed to access the Heritage Coast including Southwold, Aldeburgh, Halesworth and Beccles.

Additional Information:
One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge).
Mixture of feather and synthetic bedding.
Infants welcome. Please provide your own travel cot and high chair.

This cottage is located in Saxmundham. Saxmundham Museum and Halesworth Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include RSPB Minsmere and Pier. Oasis Camel Park and Henstead Exotic Gardens are also worth visiting. Sailing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.
