Amazing 4 Bedroom Apartment Just Off The Meadows, Edinburgh

Midlothian. Sleeps up to 10

## Space

Guests can make the most of this gorgeous example of a late 19th century Edinburgh apartment with its lovely decorative features. Light floods in through tall Victorian windows. The large living room has sofas aplenty, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. Have a game of pool (or miniature croquet!) on the slate snooker table. The four spacious bedrooms all lead off from the central hallway. They each have their own different style and include comfortable double beds. We also have a travel cot available for visiting families. There are a number of beautiful paintings displayed throughout the flat, art lovers rejoice. There is also a bedroom with two double beds, one is set up on an elevated mezzanine. This room has a large chest full of toys and children's books if little ones are interested. The kitchen includes all the modern appliances you may need such as an oven, hob, fridge, toaster, kettle, etc. There is a large kitchen table and another seating area with 2 sofas. The modern, clean bathroom has a shower and a large double ended bath.

## Neighborhood

The flat is ideally located between the vibrant boroughs of Bruntsfield and Marchmont, just off the large green spaces of the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links - home to the oldest golf course in the world, now a free pitch and putt course. The area is famous as the city's "literary quarter", home to authors like Ian McCall Smith, Ian Rankin, and JK Rowling (who all live nearby on 'Writers Block'). It's only two minutes walk to a fabulous shopping area, especially for foodies - everything from upscale supermarkets to specialist grocers and countless independent boutiques. Plus there's and endless choice of cafes, bars, and eateries (and "the world's best pub" according to Rick Stein) all within easy walking distance. While you're escaping the hustle and costliness of the city centre, it's just an eight minute bus ride to get there, with services every couple of minutes. Win win. Or stroll the other way, and there's a pretty canal, or gorgeous wooded glen for leisurely walks, all within easy access.
All the city centre's attractions remain within easy access on foot or by bus with the Royal Mile only 20 minutes away. During the festival you can get to all the best venues (Assembly George Square, Underbelly, Pleasance, Guilded balloon) with 20-30min walk.

## Transit

Edinburgh's main Waverley Station is half an hour away on foot or 25 mins by bus. Alternatively Haymarket station is only 15 mins. Edinburgh Airport is half an hour away by car, £20 in a taxi.

The National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Scotland are all within 30 mins on foot.

## Notes

Our cleaners place fresh, hotel-quality linen and towels on your bed prior to arrival.

Located in Edinburgh, this apartment is in the city center. Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile are notable landmarks and Edinburgh Zoo is a popular area attraction. Camera Obscura and World of Illusions and Royal Commonwealth Pool are also worth visiting.
